It tooks five years for tree to start making beans

The cacao tree produces a fruit about a size of a small pineapple. Inside the fruit are the tree seeds also known as cacao beans.

When the fruits are red or purple they ar eready for next step.

The beans are fermented for about a week, dried in the sun and then shipped to the chocolate maker.
